Originally from Texas, 28yr old Caitlin Rice grew up an “Army brat,” constantly moving from place to place. She started in modeling fashion at the age of 16 in Atlanta, Georgia however it wasn’t the dream she envisioned. The fashion industry put pressure on her to be rail thin so Caitlin’s diet ended up consisting of pretty much nothing. She was on the verge of an eating disorder, malnourished and unhappy.
Caitlin decided to get away from that lifestyle and focus on her college career. She started eating again but not very healthy as well as partying a lot. This made her gain 15 pounds and labeled herself “skinny fat.” With no muscle definition and a little belly from all the alcohol and bad food being consumed,
CAITLIN DECIDED IT WAS TIME TO TURN THINGS AROUND. SHE STOPPED GOING OUT ON THE WEEKENDS AND REPLACED PARTYING WITH HITTING THE GYM.
With much research Caitlin learned how to lift weights properly and quite simply fell in love with it. Lifting became a lifestyle and pretty much the best part of her day.
Caitlin became addicted to the feeling of being healthy and full of energy. In addition to learning how to lift weights properly, she taught herself all about proper nutrition as well. Always wanting to learn more, Caitlin would watch many how-to tutorials form top fitness instructors online to review proper form and different routines. She decided to start putting her own routines together that were her favourite and that were the most beneficial to her – the exercises and combinations of exercises that were giving her the best results. Caitlin started sharing her new love for fitness and healthy living to some of her friends, in hopes to get them hooked as well. The more Cailtlin shared how awesome it is to feel amazing about oneself from eating properly and working out on her Instagram page, the more she got noticed by many big fitness brands, instructors and influencers. It kept her focused, motivated and thinking about a career in the Fitness Industry.
